News Center     Harvard’s Teaching for Understanding Training Benefits Primary, Middle and High Schools in Jing’an ssued Time : Li Yunqi   李允琦 Harvard’s Teaching for Understanding Training has already covered all primary and middle schools in Jing’an district. Many teachers have applied what they learned to the actual teaching and achieved satisfactory result through organic combination of the quintessence of eastern and western education. WIDE World is an innovative continuing education course offered by Harvard Graduate School of Education and integrates the world’s leading educators’ 30 years research findings and practical achievements. This online course provides both comprehensive and personalized approaches to help teachers and administrative staff develop the enlightenment-oriented professional skills, so as to improve the students’ performance. Teaching for Understanding (TfU1&2) is one of the subjects under WIDE World and focuses on teaching strategies. It provides teachers with innovative teaching methods and concepts. Currently, 150 teachers have accomplished the training. Another 180 teachers are in the process of training. Besides, a seminar on second phase of Harvard’s Teaching for Understanding Training was held in Shanghai Jing'an Foreign Language School recently. The training project team and over 30 teacher representatives from Jing’an participated in the seminar.
