Of the "three poles" on the earth, Mount Everest was the last "pole" attained by the human creature after the successful expedition to the remote North and South poles. This has evidenced the intimidating difficulty in climbing it. When the figures reduced to black points against the backdrop of the lofty and massive mountain were advancing slowly but steadfastly and when they were crossing the perilous and freezing narrow passages comprising of snow, ice and rocks right on the brink of the abyss just like wire-walking, the spectators had their heart in the mouth, more breathless than the climbers themselves.
