East China Hospital Sets aside Wards for Patients from Quake-stricken Area

Zuo Gang ×ó ¸Ö  On May 26, 20 wounded people from quake-hit Wenchuan County of Sichuan checked into the East China Hospital, which set aside West 14 Section of In-patient Department with the most complete facilities and the most beautiful environment for them. The hospital also set up a medical team with the most outstanding doctors and nurses to provide treatment for the patients. In addition, a number of volunteers were dispatched to support the medical treatment and mental recovery of the patients.
This was another major move of East China Hospital to aid the disaster-stricken area since the outbreak of Wenchuan earthquake. Before that, experts in kidney and infectious diseases had rushed to the quake zone. Acting respectively as the leader of the kidney disease group and the infectious disease group of the 2nd batch medical team dispatched from Shanghai, they have been working day and night to save victims of the disaster.
