Weihai Road, Culture & Media Street Project Commenced

Wang Yigang  ÍõÒã¸Õ  The Weihai Road, Culture & Media Street project, aiming to build the largest key industry-specific street in Jing An, started  recently.
It was learned that Tongji University is doing strategic research for the development of the project, while Refiners UK (Shanghai) is responsible for the space planning and designing and a German company Engineering Consulting & Solutions (ECS) offers technical support.
According to the initial planning, this Culture & Media Street will be divided into two multi-facet segments with Weihai road on the horizontal axis and Maoming Road North on the vertical axis. The project will be under the administration of Weihai  Road Culture & Media Street Commission. While accomplishing the project, the Commission will  take into account historic preservation part in the south of Jing An, construction of public infrastructures such as subway entrance and roads, increasing the value of existing properties and improving profitability of the high street businesses along Nanjing Road West.
Acting as the bridgehead for the Culture & Media Street, Jing An Media Center will become a landmark where media companies are geographically concentrated. All ten floors of the Media Center are now open for rent.
