Major Responsibility

Science and Technology Commission of JingˇŻan District of Shanghai is an integral part of district government with the responsibility for the development of science and technology in the district. It is mainly responsible for putting into effect the national and municipal laws, regulations and rules regarding the development of science and technology; working out and implementing the programs for the development of science and technology and the strategy of rejuvenating district through science and technology; introducing, contacting and managing the private-funded scientific and technological enterprises and boosting their development; promoting the popularization and application of advanced technologies and scientific and technological achievements and the industrialization of high and new technology; managing the technological market in the district by law and identifying technological contracts; carrying out the penetration of scientific and technological knowledge to completely improve the scientific and technological literacy of citizens.
