Major Responsibility

It is mainly responsible for instructing and helping neighborhood committee to carry out construction on organization and system and other affairs; offering community services for the convenience of people and to the people¡¯s interests; conducting social assistance and other works of social security; conducting the work on family planning, environmental protection, education, culture, sanitation, popular science promotion and physical sports; safeguarding the legal rights and interests of the aged, the underage, women, the disable and returned overseas Chinese and family members of overseas Chinese as well as ethnic minority; putting into effect the social overall administration planning to making efforts on public security and people¡¯s mediation; supporting the army and giving preferential treatment to the families of the armymen and martyrs and doing well for the mobilization for national defense and military service; giving assistance to disaster prevention and relief; managing mobile population; guiding sub-district economy; reporting the comments and requests of the masses to Jing¡¯an District People¡¯s Government; handling the affairs regarding the letters and visits of the masses; undertaking the assignments from Jing¡¯an District People¡¯s Government.
